Stress Relations
Stress comes in all forms and to understand stress we need to recognize the signs and stressors. For example if you are going to bid on a new apartment this is obviously a stressor since you are expecting good results and rejections are possible. None of us like to hear the word no, but all of us are going to receive rejections in life. We are setting our self up to believe that rejection is out of the question. Rather, when we are applying for an apartment we need to stay focus since our appearance, attitude, and personality play a role in the decision. If the property owner sees a person that is frigidity and is a stereotype individual, he or she might think the worst of us. However, is we are calm, cool, and collected realizing that the property owner is subject to tell us finds another place then we are in control of our stress, as we understand that the stressors exist. If the property owner tells us know and we planned then we know our next step is the review the list of apartments we made up for our self and go to the next property owner. You might have a list of five or more property owners with apartments available so be sure to make appointments to visit each property owner at a schedule suitable to both you and the property owners. This will help you to minimize stress and will also provide you a measure of hope. However, what if the entire list of property owners rejects your bid? Then you have additional problems that cause stress. The key in this situation to minimizing stress is not giving up hope. Grab a paper, start over again, and hope for the best cause it will happen eventually. When you are least expecting it something will come your way. We can look at a more complicated example to see how we can still manage stress. What if you are homeless staying with a friend that gave you two weeks to find a home? What if your credit is bad and you have received numerous rejections from apartment complexes. What if you funds are minimal and you are struggled just to survive? We see that stress is overwhelming because the stressors are more complicated than searching for an apartment. How can a person handle the situation to feel secure and reduce the fears? First, we can start by thanking our friend for helping us out for the moment. We can find a job in between the two weeks that will provide us more resources when a place becomes available. On the other hand, if a place is not available the job will help us to pay for a motel room for a couple of weeks. We know we have to save all the money we can to get through this area of turmoil. We could also find resources that work to help people in our situation get back on our feet. We can continue hoping, since the worst has not happen at the moment. We could also put forth the effort to search for landowners that offer us potential hope. Even if you find a place out of your range and are accepted you could pay up for the month and find another solution for making ends meet every other month. The situation then is not hopeless; rather it is more complex than common problems. On the other hand, what if we reverse this situation and believe that the worst has arrived. What if we expect rejections and never see a way out of the situation. If we are leaning on what ifs then we are setting our self up for a serious stress disorder. As you can see stress, management is possible in most situations. If you are stressing over every little detail then you are promoting a relations with stress that can cause additional disaster. If you cannot see a way out, then you need to sit down and reevaluate the situation carefully to review your problem and find resources that can help minimize stress.
